You can ask to unlink your channel from the iSmartMedia YouTube CMS at any time, under the terms of your written agreement with iSmartMedia. Any notice period or conditions that apply to you are stated in that agreement before you sign, so there are no surprises when you leave. You keep 100% ownership of your channel, your content and your Google account.
1. Send us a written request
Tell us in writing that you want to unlink, through the channel you normally use with us or our contact page. Include the channel URL(s) and the name on the agreement. We will confirm that we have received your request.
2. We confirm the details and start unlinking
We confirm the effective date based on your agreement, then start unlinking the channel in our YouTube CMS. Unlinking is done on YouTube’s side; you never need to share a password, and your access to YouTube Studio is not affected.
3. Content ID assets and claims
Assets we registered for your content are handled as your agreement sets out: released so you can register them elsewhere, or transferred to the rights manager you choose where YouTube allows it. We will also release or resolve any claims we manage on your behalf so they do not follow you to a new partner.
4. Music distribution
If we distribute music for you, we will take down or transfer releases as agreed, so you can redeliver them through another distributor without duplicate listings.
5. Final statement and last payout
We issue a final statement covering earnings up to the unlink date. Outstanding earnings are paid on the next regular payout cycle after YouTube and the other platforms pay us for that period, in USD, using your usual payout method. Earnings that platforms report late are included in a later statement as they arrive.
6. If we end the partnership
We may end a partnership as allowed by the agreement, for example if a channel seriously or repeatedly breaks YouTube’s policies or the agreement, or if YouTube requires it. We will tell you in writing and follow the same unlinking, asset and payout steps described above, except where the law or YouTube requires otherwise.
7. Referral commissions
When a referred channel leaves, referral commission stops after the final payout for that channel. Referral commission is paid on top of the channel owner's share — never deducted from it.
